BOOTHBAY, ME-- December 5, 2005: The Board of Directors of Elysian Fields: The Justin
Morgan Association for Retired Equines (EF:JMARE) is certainly giving "thanks" this
holiday season. Over the past week, we have been blessed with sdonations from four
additional breeders, for the services of six more lovely stallions. The newest additions to our
auction lineup include:

This brings the total number of stallion offerings to 30 outstanding individuals of varied and
historic bloodlines, including a choice of 9 colorfuls (palomino, dun, buckskin and gray)! Please
check below for the names/breeding of all stallions already donated.
If anyone would like to donate additional stallion services or auction items/services,
please contact Auction Coordinators Paula Brown (pbrown@bates.edu) or Kathleen
DeFazio (kdefazio@earthlink.net). Due to inquiries, we have extended the donation
deadline to Wednesday, November 30th! One hundred (100%) percent of the auction
proceeds, after payment of auction expenses, will be donated to EF:JMARE, a
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, and donations are tax deductible.
A reminder... all stallion services will initially be listed at 1/2 the stallion’s advertised 2006
fee, with the exception of horses standing at private treaty or young horses with an introductory
price. (In those instances, the stallion owner and EF:JMARE auction coordinators have agreed
on an initial representative fee.)
Escalated bidding in increments of $50.00 will be an option this year for all stallion
services. Registered participants also have the option of providing auction management with a
maximum dollar limit via email. In that case, their account would be updated by increments of
$50.00 only when and if challenged by competing bids.
In addition to the stallion services, we are pleased to offer some additional goods and services
in the auction, among them, an original edition of The Morgan Horse Registry (Volume 1)
donated by Connie Demeter; a hand-generated extended pedigree created and donated by
Jann Currie of Top-T Morgans; a farm shoot donated by photographer Terry Johnson of
Dream Morgans; and custom 1 page ad or flyer design donated by Leslie Arnould of Akira
Morgans.
We have also just added to the items being auctioned a lovely signed 9" x 12" artist's proof
of the limited edition color print "My Rubens," by Sarah Brander. This will surely take a
place of pride on some lucky bidder's wall! All items/services will be initially offered at half
fair market value price, with escalating bids allowed in increments of $15.00.
